Nodus 7
Nodus 7 translates the structure of a carpet into jewellery without miniaturising a recognisable rug motif. The collection consists of a rigid necklace, a broad cuff and a pair of earrings, all assembled from sparse blackened-silver polygons. Their geometry begins with the interdependence of girih construction, then breaks its expected repetition so the pieces remain open, asymmetrical and visibly contemporary. Small translucent enamel cells in madder red, deep indigo and turquoise occupy only selected fields.
Clusters of warm-gold granules mark the junctions like enlarged knots: they are both visual accents and evidence of the hand joining the structure. The necklace follows the collarbone through hinged sections; the cuff uses a concealed spring opening; the earrings reduce the system to a light articulated drop. Every edge, clasp and enamel backing is accessible for repair. Illumination is part of the presentation rather than the object. When a narrow beam passes through the coloured cells, fragments of red, blue and turquoise fall across skin, stone or paper, temporarily extending the geometry beyond the metal.
Under softer light, the blackened silver dominates and the collection becomes almost architectural. Each set is fabricated and fired by hand, so minor variations in enamel depth and gold granulation are retained. Limited to seven coordinated sets, Nodus 7 occupies the boundary between wearable object and small-scale sculpture.
